Well here it is! Show news.. it will take me some time to go through our show ribbons and stories to share with all of you. For now, let me say this.. Showing my pups in different venues has been one of the greatest activities in my life. We are particpating in Conformation, Rally and Obedience.

We have met great people who share the love of the Labrador breed as well as having made wonderful friends, such as Laurie Hudgins and Richard & Desi Doucette, and the crew from Bay Breeze Farms,
also, Perri Johns & her Charlie.

Our very first show.. Mine as a handler, and Gus showing himself, was an absolute thrill!
We were at the Salisbury circuit in November 2005, he was six months old and ready to begin in the ring.

It was just me and my boy, and Gus won Best of Breed Puppy.

We celebrated by having the black and white picture composed that you can see on this page, and by sharing a piece of pizza on the Ocean City boardwalk.  Thank you Ginny Rutter for preparing us for that moment.

9/29/07- Warrenton Kennel Club Shows... a Beautiful day out at the show site. Fall is in the air! This show site is just breathtaking, and lots of good vendors! I will have to make a visit to the White Bone Dog Company this weekend & get some of those wonderful Vanilla Retriever Rolls all my pups love!

On Friday, Gus took 2nd in his class, Karma was the only Chocolate in Open Chocolate, so of course she got the class, but neither of them took Reserve today. Saturday, Gus stayed home & Karma had a good time in the ring.. no points though. On Sunday, Gus was given Reserve Winner's Dog. Gus showed himself beautifully in true Labrador style, waggy waggy happy boy! Karma showed herself off too, thank you Darlene to you and your team for a wonderful weekend. This show site is just Georgous!

11/04/07- Mid-Peninsula and VA Beach Shows.... Started off as a very windy weekend.. Thanks to Noel! The show site was nice, as it was indoors. Gus took Class everyday, but nothing more. Karma took her class everyday, and took Winners Bitch on Friday, November 2, 2007. Thank you Judge Humphrey for recognizing this special girl.. 2 more points! pretty soon we will have go after the majors, on the road again this week to North Carolina.. this time taking Brady along too!

Patuxent's Cut Above Ordinary Best of Breed Puppy, 9 months old Salisbury Shows, 11/05 A day I will never ever ever forget! Both of us in the ring for the first time, Gus wins Best of Breed Puppy! Gus finished in Ribbons two of three days - 98 / 100 points! WOWIE what an experience! Thanks Terry Patton for all your help in preparing us for this special day!
